The Rutgers School of Health Professions (SHP) Department of Clinical and Preventive Nutrition Sciences is inviting applications for 2 full-time faculty positions. SHP is one of eight schools that are part of Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, the premier health sciences institution in New Jersey. Rutgers is an internationally ranked University that is a member of the prestigious AAU and the Big Ten conference. 

The Department houses a M.S. in Clinical Nutrition for Registered Dietitian Nutritionists, the nation’s first Doctorate of Clinical Nutrition and the first accredited entry level M.S. in Clinical Nutrition based on the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics graduate future model. This forward-thinking program combines hybrid courses with in-person learning and clinical clerkships; graduates are eligible to take the R.D. exam. All programs are well recognized for their innovation in nutrition and dietetics education, scholarship and research. The department has a growing research portfolio with faculty involved in global scholarship and education. 

For the 1st position, we are seeking a faculty member with a minimum of a doctoral degree in nutrition, clinical experience, and the RD credential. The successful candidate will have experience in teaching graduate nutrition courses using both in-person and online formats. This is a non-tenure track open rank position. Job responsibilities include teaching graduate nutrition courses in our entry level dietetics and nutrition hybrid and online courses, student advisement and mentoring of scholarship projects. The individual will collaborate and teach with other programs in the department, school, and university. All faculty are responsible for research and scholarship. 

For the 2nd position, we are seeking a faculty member with a minimum of the RD credential, clinical experience, and a doctoral degree in progress or conferred. The successful candidate will have experience in clinical practice, mentoring students in the clinical setting and teaching graduate nutrition courses. This is a non-tenure track open rank position. Job responsibilities include clinical coordination of students in our Entry Level M.S. in Clinical Nutrition Program. teaching graduate nutrition courses in our entry level dietetics and nutrition hybrid and online courses, and student advisement. The individual will collaborate and teach with other programs in the department, school, and university. All faculty are responsible for research and scholarship.
