The postdoctoral trainee will work as part of an interdisciplinary and translational team, with access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources to carry on both clinical and basic studies. Incumbent will be actively involved in a clinical project aimed at testing the efficacy of a dietary and exercise intervention in modulating oocytes gene expression and follicular fluid content in women undergoing in vitro fertilization. The position offers opportunities for new hypotheses generation and testing and will support independent thinking. Mentoring for grant writing will be provided and grant submission will be encouraged.
Responsabilities will include managing the clinical trial by overseeing the randomization of the participants to the dietary and exercise intervention, providing coaching to the participants using motivational interviewing techniques, coordinating sample collection with the fertility clinic and analyzing samples; participating in ongoing analyses of completed trials to increase productivity and improve analytical skills; completing data analyses and manuscript writing; and attending national/international conferences.
