The Department of Food Science, Nutrition, and Health Promotion (FSNHP) at Mississippi State University (MSU) seeks to fill a 9-month tenure-track position to begin Fall 2021. The successful candidate will hold a 70% appointment in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and a 30% appointment in the Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station. The successful candidate will also teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in Nutrition and those related to the Masters in Public Health program, and advise undergraduate students. In addition, the candidate will be expected to develop a nationally recognized research program in their area of expertise through scholarship, extramural funding, and mentoring graduate students. This person will also be involved in seeking and/or maintaining accreditation standards in compliance with the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) for the MPH housed in FSNHP, and assist with the MPH Program’s recruitment, retention, and implementation efforts.
