The Department of Nutrition, Dietetics and Food Science at Utah State University invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track faculty position (55-60% research, 35-40% teaching, and 5% service) at the Assistant Professor level with research and teaching interests in the area of human nutrition and public health.
The anticipated start date is August 2022.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop an independent, externally funded research program that complements or expands existing departmental research areas including public health nutrition, community nutrition, nutritional epidemiology, nutrition and chronic disease, nutrition and health and wellness, clinical nutrition, and or nutrition and behavioral science,
The successful candidate will also teach in the undergraduate and graduate programs in the area of public health nutrition, nutritional epidemiology, and/or nutrition and behavioral science. A successful candidate will be expected to mentor all levels of student researchers. Independent and shared laboratory space, including the Center for Human Nutrition Studies (http://chns.usu.edu/), are available to support this position.

The Nutrition, Dietetic and Food Sciences Department at USU offers three Bachelor of Science degrees, two minors, four graduate degrees, and one certificate program. We have 35 faculty members, and approximately 400 students are currently enrolled in our programs.
The Nutrition, Dietetics and Food Sciences Department is housed in the College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences.
