American Pistachio Growers (APG) is looking for a bilingual researcher (English - Chinese) based in the U.S. to serve as a consulting liaison between APG and Chinese researchers who are conducting a large clinical trial in China. The study is looking at the effect of pistachio supplementation during pregnancy on women with gestational diabetes in China.
Primary functions include communications into inquiries on the study progress, achieving goals in recruiting, responding to problems that come up and later helping with interpretation of results. APG will compensate the consulting researcher for time and the researcher will have the opportunity to be included as an author in the publications that arise from the study.
APG is a non-profit trade association representing over 800 grower members in California, Arizona, and New Mexico. APG is governed by a democratically elected board of directors who are growers, and is funded entirely by growers and independent processors, with the shared goal of increasing global awareness of nutritious, American-grown pistachios.
